We're aware that protest activity continues in Port-au-Prince and other areas of Haiti, and the security situation in those areas remains unpredictable. As a result, security advisories have been issued by the U.S. State Department and Ireland's DFA regarding travel to the country.
We want to reassure our guests that such activities have had no impact to our private destination in Labadee, Haiti and we have continued to call without incident or interruption throughout this timeframe.
Nestled on the northern coast of Haiti, Labadee is a secluded and protected destination, which is generally unaffected by the political turmoil going on in the rest of the country. This has been the case during previous similar events.
But rest assured, we take the matter very seriously and are proactively engaged to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our ships, guests, and crew. Ultimately, should we assess that the safety and security of our guests and crew could be compromised, we will take the necessary steps to reduce such risk, including removing the port of call from the proposed itinerary.
